Terms and Conditions

  1. All quotes are for open car carriers and form part of a combined load to minimise costs. There will be other cars/vehicles with yours on the car carrier.
  2. CAR MOVERS SOUTH AFRICA (PTY) LTD cannot guarantee any collection/delivery dates and times. Estimate times are indications only. Travel conditions may vary from time to time due to numerous circumstances eg. road blocks, traffic flow, weather conditions etc. If you require a collection/delivery at a specific time and/or will not be available on the date that the truck arrives, please enquire about our depot options and special collection/delivery charges. ​
  3. Cancellations and changes to information must be made in writing at least 48 hours prior to the agreed collection/delivery date, failure to do so will result in a 100% cancellation fee. ​
  4. We request clients NOT to take the driver's cell phone number/s. All correspondence and arrangements are to be made via our office. ​
  5. Due to weight configuration, we ask that clients keep loose items/goods/luggage to a minimum. Failure to comply to this request will result in extra costs. ​
  6. Any items/goods/luggage left in the vehicle are left at your own risk. These goods will not be insured. ​
  7. Any items/goods/luggage left in the vehicle must not be visible from the outside. Please secure goods in the boot. Goods will be not be noted on the collection/delivery notes. ​
  8. Trucks do not enter townships, informal settlements, gravel roads, airports or restricted areas. ​
  9. Kindly note that the area of collection/delivery must allow access for a 18.5m truck. Areas with trees/cul-de-sacs/complexes are a problem. The truck will go as close as possible to the most accessible point. We request that the client or nominated 3rd party is there to meet the driver. Door-to-door means to the closest access point.
  10. Should you need to store a unit at our depot facility for an extended period, arrangements can be made at an extra cost. ​
  11. We request that you or a nominated 3rd party assist our drivers with non-runners and trailers to load and offload. ​
  12. Keys must be given with all vehicles. ie. those in running condition and non-runners. ​
  13. Vehicles quoted as running must be able to start and drive onto the car carrier at collection & delivery points. If you have been quoted to move a vehicle in running condition and we are not able to start and drive it onto the carrier, you will be liable for an extra cost. A full description of non-runners must be given prior to confirmation to avoid any misunderstandings. ​
  14. We must know about all exterior fitments (towbars, bullbars, roof racks, canopies etc.) prior to confirmation.
